Minister’s Message 18th February

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind

and with all your strength.  The second is this: Love your neighbour as yourself.

There is no commandment greater than these.”

Mark 12:30-31

It’s quite clear that God created us to love and to be loved. Celebrations like Valentine’s Day are a helpful way of reminding us of certain types of love.

For me this makes Valentine’s Day a celebration worth participating in.

However to limit love to just romantic love, and to just one day, would be a

mistake. Think of the people you love and that love you, friends, children,

parents, siblings and extended family.

Have you done something for them so that they know they are special to you?
