Minister’s Message 14th October 2018

As many will know, Susanna Denby has been our student intern for 2018. So far this year Susanna has been assisting with Youth Group on Fridays,worship leading, and has preached at both East and Hunua.  She has also assisted with the holiday programme at Papakura East. Along with this, Susanna has been achieving good marks in her full time theological study which she has been completing at Carey Baptist Bible College in Penrose.

While reflecting on the good work Susanna has been doing, the Eldership discussed the possibility of employing her over the busy Christmas period to assist with our services and give us scope to provide more. Elders voted unanimously, and Susanna accepted the opportunity with joy. With Susanna coming on board it means that we will be able to, for the first time in a while, offer Christmas services at Hunua. Abby is excited to be leading both a Christmas Eve Service and a Christmas Day Service at Hunua.

The closer we get to Christmas the busier it can get. So please pray for our services in December. The Children’s service on the 2^nd, Christmas Eve on the 24^th, and both the combined Christmas Day Service with the Wesleyan Church, and Hunua Christmas Day Service.

Also please pray continue to pray for Susanna and the work and study which she is doing.
